The Community Profile is your hub for giving and storytelling, sharing items available for donation and stories told in your community in a beautiful way.

Your Community Profile includes an About paragraph, photo gallery, and links to your website and social media that you can update at any time. Your profile also displays how many items you have available, how many have been donated, and how many include stories. 

Any type of physical object in your community can be become a vessel for giving and storytelling. The types of Items you can add to your Community Profile include: Benches, Trees, Trails, Bricks, Planters, Gazebos, Pavilions, Structural Art, Buildings, Recreation Centers, Take a Books, Scenic Overlooks, Bird Feeders, Covered Bridges, and more.

First, your community creates the item on SeeMyLegacy by adding a name, location, price, and any other details you want to include. The item is then displayed on your Community Profile and on our public map with a button that says 'Adopt this Item', which a donor can click to submit a form to your community. To complete the donation, the donor pays your community directly and provides any other information you require.

SeeMyLegacy offers a variety of Story Plaques and Tags that can be added to any new or existing item in your public spaces, allowing beautiful stories to be told by your community in both the physical and digital world.

Each plaque or tag includes a unique QR code that links to a digital story online, where a donor can celebrate the people, places, and memories they care about through photos, messages, and links.

Story Plaques include extra space next to the QR code, allowing a donor to share their name, who they've dedicated the item to, and a message of kindness. Story Tags are smaller with just a QR code, designed for placement either on their own or next to existing commemorations and plaques.

SeeMyLegacy makes it easy to promote your program with a beautiful and interactive Community Profile that's easy to share on your website, social media, Facebook community groups, and more. Our Community Support Team will also help guide you on other ways you can amplify your program and celebrate donor stories through local media, events, mailers, and more.
